Home About The FBC

Founded in the sun-soaked coastal town of Forster in 1987, the Forster Bodyboarding Club emerged as a haven for wave enthusiasts seeking the ultimate thrill of riding the ocean’s surging energy. Established by a group of passionate water lovers, the club quickly became a tight-knit community where riders of all levels converged to share their love for bodyboarding.

Over the years, the Forster Bodyboarding Club has evolved into a symbol of camaraderie, skill development, and a deep connection with the sea. Members, clad in their iconic club rashies, gather regularly to ride the waves, exchange tips, and foster a sense of belonging that transcends generations.

With its roots firmly planted in the sands of 1987, the Forster Bodyboarding Club continues to ride the waves of time, leaving an indelible mark on the local surf culture.

The Club is proud to host the Jeff Wilcox Memorial bodyboarding comp every year, held in the Great Lakes region of Forster-Tuncurry, on the Mid-North Coast of NSW.
